New Year Card

4 Jan

… from Picasso, whose ever astonishingly multifaceted and skilled work I had once more the opportunity to enjoy last week while in my hometown Milan, where a major exhibition from the Parisian Musée Picasso is currently on view.

Picasso, whose figure as an artist and a man proves just as thrilling as his work: the genius, the Bohemian, the womanizer, the communist, the hypocondriac, the peace activist… his 92 year-long life and 80 year-long career reflect enough interdisciplinary issues central to 20th- (and 21st)-century identity to make a suited new year post for my blog.

Happy 2013!
